Delivery Driver  

The Role

We’re looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our small brewery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting our beers to various locations throughout Northumberland and the North East.

Role Responsibilities:

• Delivering (and collecting) stock to our trade partners

• Loading & unloading vehicle

• Route planning; being self-sufficient and organised to plan your drops in the most efficient and timely manner

• A wide variety of other tasks, such as maintaining vehicles & the warehouse space, keg scanning, assisting with labelling stock

• And assisting with packaging and other brewery tasks when needed.

Key Requirements:

• Must be 25 years of age or older (nsurance purpose)

• Must be able to drive a manual van

• Hold a full clean current UK driving license

• Sociable, self-motivated and able to work independently

• Articulate & be technology/computer literate

• Have excellent customer relationship skills

• Must be physically fit, as this role requires frequent and regular lifting and manual handling of kegs that are 25kg and heavier, bending and sitting/driving for long periods.

Beneficial Requirements:

• An interest in beer

• Some knowledge of Rigg & Furrow, who we are what we do

• Experience of driving, especially in and around busy town & city centres.

Contract type: Zero hours, approximately 16 hours per week, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Work Location: Based at our brewery in rural Northumberland, but delivering across Northumberland and the North East.

Reporting to: Sales Manager & Head Brewer
